Hi, I’m Cath Smith, founder of Summit & Stream.

I started this journey just like you—dreaming, experimenting, and determined to be a freelancer! 

After years of working and studying to become an Additional Learning Needs Co-ordinator, I made the decision to hand in my notice and move to the Czech Republic with my husband and children on a military move. 

What a life-changing decision!! 

Not only did living in another country together make us stronger as a family unit, but it changed the trajectory of my career…forever.

What started as ghostwriting for another military wife, I explored the idea of starting my own business in copywriting, with a niche clientele. Having little experience in starting and running an online business, I navigated the world of freelancing by following others, finding mentors, and learning with each step. 

Seeing how being self-employed worked for me and our family, I struggled to find a mentor who could understand the unique circumstances and the pressures and worries of being a military wife, so I decided to set up my own.

Through my unique 12-week academy programme, freelancing retreats and by sharing insights and tips & tricks through my monthly newsletter, I will help you navigate the freelance landscape.
